Catalina Island Invites you to Celebrate First Fridays at the Museum
Catalina Island Museum is organizing a Harvest Hoedown event on November 4 to celebrate First Fridays at the museum from 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm. This event will offer visitors an opportunity to celebrate the season change at one of the famous museums in the world.
You will get a chance to enjoy the cider, caramel apples and harvest brews by the Lloyd’s of Avalon. In addition to this, you could also listen to the live country music sung by the favorite musicians in the Catalina Island. Another highlight of the event is that Dr. Laura Ulibarri, from the Catalina Island Medical Center will be there to teach the visitors on how to line dance.
The Catalina Island Museum is well known for their history and art exhibitions, dance and music performances, lectures by speakers from all over the world, and an abundant collection of international films and a lot more. The museum offers evening hours to visitors and residents every month to enjoy its digital theater, galleries, museum store, and outdoor plazas.
This weekend, you could also be the first visitor on the island to taste the Pipeline Porter from the Kona Brewing Company. This exceptional award-winning beverage is brewed with Hawaiian Kona Coffee and it will be available in the Catalina Island from this month.
Make sure to visit the Art Nouveau and Graphic Art: The PAN Publications, 1895-1900, which is the recently opened special exhibition at the Catalina Island Museum. If you are art lover, then you should certainly visit the art gallery on the second level of the museum, which houses an excellent collection of plein air painting, depicting the life in Avalon. However, the exhibition will end by November 6, 2016.

Members can purchase the tickets for the First Fridays event at the Museum Harvest Hoedown for just $12, whereas non-members will have to purchase the ticket for $15. A complimentary caramel apple and beverage by Lloyd’s of Avalon are included in each ticket.
Visitors can either purchase the ticket online from the official site of Catalina Museum or could purchase it in person on the venue. Additional cider, soda, beer, caramel apples, and water will also be available for purchase.
